Pride of Palm Beach #447

On March 26, 1921, the Pride of Palm Beach #447 was granted its charter from the Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge of Florida.  The early history and work of the Lodge is unclear. After meeting in several different locations in its early years, the present Lodge building, at 1112 North Tamarind Avenue, was designed and erected in 1954 according to strict Masonic law and specifications.  The officers at that time were Bro. Allen A. Smith, Worshipful Master; Bro. Dr. Vickers, Senior Warden; Bro. James T. Smith, Junior Warden; Bro. Joseph Cooper, Secretary; and Bro. Rev. J. A. King, Treasurer.

Since 1921, the presence of the Pride of Palm Beach #447, with its emphasis on "lifting up good men to do good works," has had a profoundly positive influence on West Palm Beach and the surrounding communities.  

The Pride of Palm Beach #447 is the home lodge of the 17th Most Worshipful Grand Master, the Honorable Anthony T. Stafford, Sr. and also the home of the 19th Most Worshipful Grand Master Jeffery G. Jones.

We hope and pray that the Great Architect of the Universe will continue to bless our Lodge with many more years of existence as he has blessed this fraternal order since ancient times.
